In 2021 there were 15,374+ homeless children in Colorado! Most of These Children are dealing with Mental Health issues caused by the traumatic circumstances they have encountered.
Another Sunrise wants to help Children in these unfortunate situations, by providing adequate housing in trauma informed settings where they feel closer to home as they heal. Our goals are to transition children back home through family therapy and community resources or into a permanent placement where they can continue their recovery and become active in the community again.
We are seriously lacking in mental health care for children in Colorado! The challenges facing our kids have gone beyond crisis levels, and the organizations that currently serve kids are overwhelmed, they need HELP!
